Privacy Policy
2026-09-04
This policy explains what we collect on pcbuildcalculator.com, what we do with it, and what you can ask us for.
Who operates this site
Pcbuildcalculator.com is operated by MB „Variantai“ (306133252, Dailidžių k. 7, Rūdiškių sen., Trakų r. sav., LT-21177), a company registered in Lithuania. We have no office, branch or subsidiary in the United States. For privacy questions, email info@pcbuildcalculator.com.
What we collect and how long we keep it
Technical usage data: the time of your requests, browser type and approximate location from your IP address.
Outbound click logs, stored with the IP address irreversibly hashed (SHA-256). Nothing else identifying is stored alongside them, so a click log cannot be traced back to a person. We keep them up to 24 months for billing audit.
Partner inquiry form: company name, contact person, email address, phone number - only what the sender types. Kept until the inquiry is handled, plus 12 months.
Functional settings live in your browser (localStorage), not in cookies: theme, consent choice and the build in progress. That data never reaches our servers, and a saved build travels in the link itself (?b=...).
How we use it
To run and secure the site; to bill partner retailers for outbound clicks; to answer inquiries people send us; and, only if you opt in, to show personalized advertising and to measure site traffic. Traffic measurement uses Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies; like advertising it loads only after you choose “Accept all”.
Selling and sharing
We do not sell personal information and we take no money for it. Partner retailers receive only aggregate click counts with no personal information in them. Hosting is provided by Vercel Inc., and data may be processed in the European Union and the United States.
Advertising is served by Google AdSense and loads only after you choose “Accept all” in the consent banner. Under the California definitions, personalized advertising of that kind can count as “sharing” personal information, so to be plain about it: it is off by default, it runs only if you opt in, and you can switch it off again by clearing your browser data (localStorage) and choosing differently when the banner returns. Google may use cookies to personalize ads; see policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Requests we will honor
The CCPA, as amended by the CPRA, applies to businesses over set thresholds - roughly 25 million dollars in annual revenue, personal information from 100,000 or more California consumers or households, or half of revenue from selling or sharing personal information. We make no claim about whether it covers a company of our size, and we do not ask you to rely on one. We act on the requests below either way.
We will still act on access and deletion requests from any visitor, wherever you live, and we will not charge you or treat you differently for asking. In practice there is usually little to hand over: click logs are keyed to an irreversibly hashed IP address and cannot be tied back to a person, and the technical usage data above is not held against any identifier for you. If you wrote to us through the partner form, email info@pcbuildcalculator.com from the same address and we will send you a copy or delete it.
Children
The service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email info@pcbuildcalculator.com and we will delete it.
Changes
If we update this policy we will post the new version on this page with the date it was updated.
